JYDEV is a UK engineering consultancy. We build internal tools, apps and infrastructure, ship them to production and then keep running them for you. Quotes come from a scope we've written down together, security is in from the first commit, and support doesn't have an end date.

We maintain everything we ship, so we build it with that in mind. Before quoting we write the scope down and agree it with you. Then we size the job to fit: sometimes that's a two-week build, sometimes a longer platform project, and sometimes a launch we stay on afterwards.

    The software your team uses every day: admin panels, reporting jobs, vendor integrations, the first version of a product, the spreadsheet that's quietly become business-critical. We pick boring, well-known stacks your next hire will already know. When something needs changing later, you'll be talking to the people who wrote it.

    infra/

    Cloud architecture, multi-service platforms, reliability work, and joining up systems that were never designed to talk to each other. You can hire us to review a design or to build it.

    We specialise in AWS and GCP production deployments, from a single account up to multi-region, multi-project estates with proper IAM, networking and cost controls. We're also at home with Kubernetes, serverless, VMs, Cloudflare Workers, Postgres, queues, CI/CD and observability. We size things for the traffic you expect to have, as well as the traffic you have now.

    apps/

    Native apps for Android, iOS, Windows and Linux, when a website won't do the job. We work out how people will actually use the thing, then design, build and release it.

    Offline-first clients, signed installers, app store and enterprise distribution, plus the authenticated APIs they talk to.

    release/

    We take products from brief to production. If a product decision will add cost or risk, we say so early, while it's still cheap to change.

    Environments, secrets, rollback and monitoring are set up before go-live. After that we stay on the system for as long as it runs. Support doesn't stop after 30 days.

We've deployed to most of the platforms you're likely to be running on. If yours is one we don't know well, we'll tell you before we go near production.

    Bare metal, VMs, Docker and Compose, Kubernetes, AWS and GCP, Cloudflare Workers and Pages, and hybrid setups that mix several of these. We handle promotion between environments too.

    Keeping up with security is part of the job. We follow new CVEs, supply-chain attacks and the cloud misconfigurations being exploited right now, and when something breaks in the wild we check whether it affects your systems before you have to ask. Threat modelling, security-focused code review, auth and access control, dependency and secrets hygiene, hardening. Fixes land as merged changes in your codebase rather than a PDF of findings.

    LLM integrations, retrieval over your own data, evaluation and guardrails. We use AI where it measurably helps, in our own engineering and in what we ship for you. If we can't test it or explain it, it doesn't go to production.

    Most of a system's life happens after launch, and we're there for it. We handle incidents, small improvements, dependency upgrades and questions about how it works, and the people answering already know the code.

Fixed price when the scope is clear, time and materials when it isn't yet. No mark-ups, and no long contract needed to get a fair rate.

Secure defaults on everything. If you need a formal audit and that's outside our scope, we'll say so.

ai/

We don't paste your secrets into third-party chat tools. Model calls in production are logged and rate-limited, and you can switch them off.
